Our Leadership team is very ‘hands-on’, delivering client engagements, as that is what we enjoy doing, and this maximises the value for our Clients.
Mark is the founder and Managing Director of Clarus Consulting and has over 13 years’ experience working in consulting across various sectors. Having started out in Engineering, he then spent over 8 years working mainly in Retail . During this time he was involved in acquisitions and post-merger integrations, as well as the development of new retailing concepts. He is responsible for looking after our clients in Financial Services, Retail and Consumer Goods, having completed various projects for organisations such as Anglo-American, Barclays, Tesco and Nestlé. Mark has considerable experience working with board level executives and leading major business and IT transformational programmes in the UK, Europe and Gulf States. He has a MA in Information & Electronic Science from Cambridge University.
Zak has over 20 years experience spanning sales, customer service, consulting and advisory services. He has spent 15 years working in consulting and advisory services for corporate clients and private equity investors across Europe in Engineering, Healthcare, Financial Services, Manufacturing and Utilities. Zak is also a recognised business analyst, having written numerous market reports for Datamonitor Plc and Business Insights. As part of the Leadership Team at Clarus, Zak looks after clients in Defence, Healthcare, and Financial Services. He holds an MSc in Finance from London Business School.
Mike has over 25 years of senior management and consultancy experience as well as considerable expertise as an executive coach. He has held a number of senior positions at MD, Strategy and Operational level with the RAC, Federal Express and Arval PHH. Mike also has a proven track record in leading large transformation programmes and guiding leadership teams through complex periods of corporate change, in wide range of settings, from highly unionised industrial environments to new media marketing operations. As part of the Leadership Team at Clarus, Mike looks after clients in Oil & Gas and Infrastructure, having completed assignments for such organisations as BP, BAA and Thames Water. Mike also leads the Leadership Coaching Service offering

Jonathan has over 25 years of senior management, programme and consultancy leadership experience. He has held a number of positions at Managing / Functional Director level, where he has consistently delivered sustainable change results in challenging, often multi-location, environments. As a Consultant and Interim, he has led business improvement and other delivery assignments for over a dozen leading organisations across a breadth of sectors. He enjoys taking the lead in complex and urgent situations where he can apply his skills in setting up and leading programmes, in stakeholder management, and in mobilising teams to achieve rapid results. His sector focus covers Support Services, Manufacturing and Media/Communications having worked with organisations such as Brambles, Eli Lilly, Arqiva and Land Rover. He has a BSc in Production Engineering, an MSc in Manufacturing Systems and an MBA.
Neil has over 20 years of experience in industry and consulting and has worked for top tier fims across multiple sectors including Financial Services, Chemicals, Telecommunications, Transport and Retail. Neil has a proven track record in helping clients to realise their goals and supporting executives through complex periods of business transformation or restructuring. He has been widely published, particularly regarding individual saving and retirement provision. Neil holds an MBA from LBS in addition to B.Sc and Ph.D in Materials Science.
Ian has 20 years of experience in industry and consulting and has worked in numerous sectors including construction, manufacturing, transportation, retail, infrastructure maintenance and utilities. He specialises in business improvement programme design, training and coaching to enable individuals and organisations to deliver step changes in their performance. Ian has a BSc in Mathematics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Design, Manufacture and Management from Cambridge University, is a qualified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) trainer.
John heads up our Project Support and has over 20 years’ experience providing Document Production, Document Management and PMO support to consulting projects and programmes for global clients in the UK and Europe. John’s experience covers a variety of sectors, including Retail, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Telecoms, Energy and Financial Services.
Asutosh has over 20 years of experience in industry and consulting, gained with a range of companies from start-ups to global blue chip companies in the UK and overseas. During this time he has worked across several industry sectors including Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Telecoms and Not-for-Profit, with clients including Barclays, Bank of Ireland, Pfizer, Merck and Vodafone. His main areas of expertise are business transformation, operational process improvement/re-engineering and lean, change management and executive coaching. Asutosh is passionate about helping clients implement practical solutions that deliver measurable and sustainable business benefits. He is a Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist and holds a BSc in Chemistry, an MPhil in Biotransformations in Medicinal Organic Chemistry and a PhD in Computational Chemistry and Rational Drug Design.
Ross is an experienced business leader with broad experience at Functional Director and Partner level. In over 27 years of experience of shaping, leading & delivering successful business change programmes for clients internationally, he has worked for top tier firms across a range of sectors including financial services, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, professional service firms, life sciences and healthcare. His recent clients include the NHS, e.on, Kleinwort Benson, AstraZeneca, Qinetiq, Nationwide, Legal & General and Pfizer. His special areas of expertise include leading business transformations, designing change programmes and guiding organisations through restructuring while building organisation engagement and delivering results which sustain. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management, a Chartered Engineer and holds a BSc in Production Engineering and an MSc in Information Systems Management.
Justin is an effective Management Consultant with 20 years experience in major programme and project management, change management, business process design & improvement, and new product development. His track record has been developed within multinational and fast growing management consultancies, and in manufacturing management roles, covering a wide range of sectors, industries and countries. He has a pragmatic & effective approach to strategy delivery, bringing together the best of a wide range of disciplines & techniques to achieve sustainable results. He has an MSc in Managing New Product Development and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
Stephen has over 20 years experience, 10 years of which has been in consulting. He has held senior functional and programme roles leading both small and large teams in the UK and overseas. He has delivered in high pressure situations and has turned around projects in compressed timescales during periods of structural, systems and regulatory change in multi-stakeholder environments, including several shared service centres. His main areas of expertise are business process re-engineering, change management and systems implementation. Stephen’s past clients have included Virgin, Disney, News Corporation, MTV, RSA Insurance, Lloyds TSB and Barclays. He has CIMA/CGMA and CISA Management Finance and IT Auditing professional qualifications and is a PRINCE 2 Practitioner.
Senior level marketing consultant with extensive consumer & b2b experience gained at a number of FTSE 100/250 companies. Prior to his consulting career, Matt has held senior positions in broadcast technology and home entertainment companies including BT Vision, BskyB, Flextech Television and UK Gold Broadcasting. Consulting engagements include Sky Germany, Ladbrokes, and Equinix . Matt has and maintains deep knowledge of the UK Pay TV market and was directly involved with the pioneering launches of TiVo, Sky+, Sky HD and BT Vision. His expertise covers brand strategy & development, customer acquisition & retention, CRM, content marketing (linear & IPTV), product management & strategic change programmes.
Kirsty is a skilled project consultant with over 8 years’ experience delivering challenging and high profile assignments in financial services and other key industries in the UK and Australia. She specialises in business process design and re-engineering and change management, with key experience in the IT and HR fields. She holds a double degree (BA/BCom) in Commerce and Arts from Monash University, Australia.
Halvor has over 6 years of experience from top tier management consultancies. He has worked across a number of industries and in several countries, including the Nordics, Middle East, and South Africa. His experience includes several projects for private equity clients, as well as business improvement, change management and post merger integration projects. His most recent focus has been on strategy in the telecoms sector. Halvor holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and a MBA from London Business School.
Steven has extensive experience working as a technical business analyst across a range of specialisms within the financial services industry. His ability to understand the bigger picture while maintaining an attention to detail has meant that clients have entrusted Steven to deliver both detailed solutions and shape technical strategy. Clients include Barclays and RSA insurance where most recently he was responsible for designing data warehousing solutions for technical price models. Steven has both an BSc (hons) and MSc in Multimedia Systems.
Colin is a seasoned professional with over 20 years’ experience, providing a broad range of Document Production, Document Management and multifaceted support to global consulting projects in multiple locations and environments. Colin’s experience covers a wide variety of sectors. As well as his consulting background, Colin also has a professional background in software development, multimedia and graphic design.
